South African creative media industry awards the Loeries is to launch in Pretoria, with the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) to host the exhibition.
HumanIPO reported earlier this year on the Loeries taking place in Cape Town, from this year including a digital category for the first time.
The exhibition at TUT will take place between Monday, August 26, and Friday, August 30.
According to the organisation, creative industries are one of the fastest growing in the world, giving students the opportunity to be motivated to pursue a career in brand communication.
Andrew Human, chief executive officer (CEO) at the Loerie Awards, said: “There are many possibilities for exciting careers in the creative industry, so it’s vital for the prospective students to see what opportunities there are.”
Human also believes the exhibition is an important part of the organisation’s outreach programme.
After its week in Pretoria, the exhibition will move to Bloemfontein in the Free State, followed by international destinations such as Belgium, Sydney in Australia and California in the United States.
The Loeries Cape Town Creative Week will take place between September 16 and 22 at the Cape Town Victoria & Alfred Waterfront’s Cinema Nouveau.
