Leading media publishing company Media24 has launched an e-commerce venture, offering magazine readers an accessible online shopping experience.
Selected Media24 magazine editors have contributed their items of choice to Spree, forming a collection showcased on the site.
Krishna Motukuri, chief executive officer (CEO) at Spree, said its “element of curation” differentiates Spree from the rest of the e-commerce landscape as the sphere becomes progressively contested.
According to him, online clothes shopping is relatively new to the South African industry, in comparison to the United Kingdom and United States.
Online spree-ers have the advantage of special interactive features, such as the zoomed-in view of the particular fabric of a clothing item.
“Online shoppers are offered an easy and fun experience that is also completely secure,” Spree said.
Newly launched, the platform offers benefits to both publishers and readers.
HumanIPO reported last month on the launch of online South African online boutique Lushberry.
