The Google Ad Grants programme has launched in South Africa, enabling non-profit organisations to advertise through AdWords on Google.
Valued at US$10,000 per month, Ad Grantees can promote their causes by building AdWords accounts.
Apart from having a running website as a prerequisite, organisations must be able to prove its valid charity status, acknowledge and agree the applications required certifications in terms of discrimination and donation operation.
With a daily budget of US$330 and a maximum cost-per-click (CPC) limit of US$2, the deal is premised on keyword targeted text ads appearing on Google.com.
Google also offers assistance to interested NPOs, as available per application.
