Femi Okanla, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Nigerian online hotel booking platform Nitestay.com, has identified optimal search engine optimisation (SEO) as the easiest way for service-based online services to drive traffic.
He said optimal SEO allows potential customers to easily find the service online, and Nitestay.com had adopted it as part of its push and pull strategy alongside offering deals, discounts for referrals and advertising banners.
“Our strategy has been to make use of the pull and push strategy. The easiest way for service-based online businesses is having an optimal SEO,” he said.
“Optimal SEO allows potential customers to find the service online. In addition we continue to increase our hotel deals, discount for referrals, advertising banners.
“Understanding the uniqueness of our environment also requires offline strategies in growing awareness of our platform.”
He described social media as having had a great impact to Nitestay.com’s growth.
“We intend to continue making use of this tool as well,” he told HumanIPO.
