Transferbee, a United Kingdom-based money transfer company, has announced a partnership with Eskimi for the launch of its money transfer service in Nigeria.
Under the agreement, Eskimi will serve as the main channel for the launch of Transferbee.com financial services in Nigeria, first reported by HumanIPO in November.
Through the platform, Nigerians who are living or working in the UK can send money to their family and friends in Nigeria more cheaply than through banks or other systems.
Titas Bledis, chief executive officer (CEO) of Transferbee, said Eskimi was selected because of its high reach and the impressive growth within a short period of time.
“We have chosen Eskimi to launch our service in Nigeria for their high reach and we are happy to experience extremely high engagement of Eskimi users. In a month time we have grown our fan club in Eskimi to more than 55,000 fans and Facebook likes to more than 27,000 using display media and Eskimi engagement tools like treasure hunt,” Bledis said.
During the launch, Eskimi launched display media, engagement tools, data collection and a reverse promotion campaign for Transferbee.
Vytas Paukstys, CEO of Eskimi, said there is a need for new and innovative tools for international money transfer services in Nigeria.
“We are excited to be part of an exciting new Transferbee service launch. The engagement of our users and positive take-up of the service shows the need of new and innovative tools for international money transfers in Nigeria. Transferbee offers better rates and convenience with mobile money services,” he said.
