Datatec, a South Africa-based IT Company, has reported an annual revenue income of over US$5 billion dollars, the highest ever since its launching.
This indicates a 17 percent revenue growth. Last financial year, the company’s revenue was pegged at US$4.30 billion.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) also grew by 34 percent to US$190.2 million in comparison to last year’s US$142.2 million.
Datatec says the EBITDA has been pushed up by its strong South American presence.
The company also announced its capital distribution to share holders for 9 cents totalling to 16 cents for the financial year.
Datatec is an ICT companies that provides services like cloud solutions to its customers. Early this month, Datatec through its subsidiary Logicalis, agreed to acquire an Australian cloud solutions company, Corpnet. This has seen its portfolio and area of coverage grow.
Group CEO Jens Montanana said through the company’s unrelenting focus on operational performance, the company has been able to grow their revenue base. He also noted that their global presence has helped them to survive the challenging trading conditions in North America and Europe.
