Zimbabwean startup launches a range of online stores

A technology startup from Zimbabwe, MyZimStore, has started a range of e-commerce websites which it hopes will fill a gap in the southern African country’s market.

The target market, according to myZimStore, is not only those living in Zimbabwe, but also Zimbabweans living abroad as the specialist websites include a focus on on leisure, wine and flowers.

Currently delivery of goods ordered online is guaranteed for “next day” delivery in Harare and surrounding areas.

Customers can use the payment gateway 2checkout or pay by depositing cash using a bank in Zimbabwe with plans to accept EcoCash underway.

Details remain vague with regards to delivery for those ordering products and living outside Zimbabwe as the startup has said it hopes to entice Zimbabweans living abroad.

The startup says the initial services to entice those in the diaspora are mainly for them to order and deliver to an address in Zimbabwe.

The e-commerce stores are myzimflorist.com, myzimgifts.com, myzimwine.com, myzimjewel.com, ourzimwedding.com and myzimleisure.com
