The Angry Birds Trilogy has sold over one million units worldwide and is set to launch on Wii U and Wii later this year.
Publisher Ubisoft has confirmed it has seen positive uptake of the game since the September 2012 launch, which is more expensive than the original version, at US$40 for Xbox 360, PS3 and 3DS.
“It was certainly satisfying to see Angry Birds gameplay adapt so well to other platforms in 2012,” said Petri Järvilehto, EVP of makers Rovio Entertainment. “The features specific to the Wii U are very intriguing to us, so we’re excited to release this version to fans.”
The trilogy contains the original Angry Birds, the seasonal Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio, which is based on the animated film Rio.
