South African mobile operator MTN has announced its Sky offering to its contract and prepaid customers, providing users with unlimited voice, SMS and data services.
“MTN believes innovative product development is an essential part to providing users with services that are not only easy to use but also simplify their monthly billings in order to effectively manage their budgets,” says Brian Gouldie, chief marketing officer (CMO) at MTN South Africa.
The contract offering will provide users with an unlimited 24 month offering for ZAR1,699 (US$161) per month.
Contract customers will also be provided with free Bidvest airport lounge access at local and international airports, smart-phone repairs and priority support at MTN call centres.
Prepaid customers have four options to choose from, varying in price between ZAR1,799 (US$170) and ZAR599 (US$57).
The prepaid packages vary in duration, with the shortest being seven days, and data usage, with the least being one gigabyte.
“These solutions have been designed to give smartphone users on prepaid packages with a simple to understand and hassle free way to live the connected lifestyle,” said Gouldie.
“This is another way MTN is revolutionising the prepaid market with innovative solutions that enable customers to access a world-class network more cost-effectively than ever.”
MTN said the uncapped options are subject to the operator’s fair use policy.
