Cell C offers BlackBerry Z10 to customers

Cell C today announced the BlackBerry Z10 handset will be available in Cell C stores from March 1, in a bid to keep up with rival operators.

Customers will choose from three Service Plans – the Lite Plan, the Essential Plan and the Premium Plan – to supplement their subscription, in order to optimise their payment plan for BlackBerry Z10 use.
The Service Plans claim to offer unlimited BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) although new BBM features such as voice calling, video calling and screen sharing are not included. The plans give users a monthly data allocation, and BlackBerry Chat will be charged from the data bundle.
“Our existing BlackBerry plans have proven to be highly popular in the country, thanks to our competitive rates and added value bundles. We believe the new Cell C offers for BlackBerry 10 smartphones will prove equally popular,” said Alan Knott-Craig Sr, chief executive officer of Cell C.
Rival operators Vodacom and MTN have already made the device available, simultaneously launching the new smartphone on Friday.
