Etisalat Nigeria offers subscribers free USB modem, data SIM card

Etisalat has announced it is extending access to its Easyblaze HSPA data service by providing subscribers who purchase a 1.5GB data plan or more with a free USB modem and data SIM card loaded with a 12-month free internet

According to Oluwole Rawa, director of Consumer Segments at Etisalat Nigeria, the offer is driven by Etisalat’s desire to extend quality internet access to all Nigerians.

“Since September 2011, Etisalat has established itself as the top mobile broadband provider with the best quality of service in the market,” he said.

“The new offer will allow more people to connect to the internet and reduce the cost of internet access overall for the customers, while allowing them to enjoy the speed and quality that Easyblaze is acclaimed for.”

According to the network, the offer started officially in all its Experience Centres from April 4, as a way of rewarding customers with 100MB monthly based on purchase of 200MB and above. However, the offer is not yet available in several Nigerian cities and major Etisalat Experience Centres.

While confirming the offer, an Etisalat employee at an Experience Center in Ibadan told HumanIPO today the device was not yet available.

“We just heard about it yesterday but we don’t have the devices yet; we are hoping that from tomorrow we would have them and Etisalat subscribers in the city would begin to enjoy the offer,” she told HumanIPO.
