Orange has rolled out its 3G network service in Uasin Gishu county, initially covering Eldoret and its environs, providing improved connectivity to the area.
Orange has an ongoing plan to connect all counties in Kenya to its high-speed network, with the Eldoret launch part of this.
Chief executive officer (CEO) Mickael Ghossein said Orange is dedicating part of this year’s capital expenditure investment to rolling out 3G networks across the country.
“Our 3G network footprint in Kenya now covers Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa and Eldoret and will progressively move towards other areas of the country,” he said.
To celebrate the rollout of the 3G network into Uasin Gishu, Orange is offering a 100 per cent data bonus on all internet bundles from 20MB to 20GB to all its customers who have internet on mobile and modem, valid from April 25 to July 25.
For customers to subscribe to the offer, they will be required to dial #123#, select option three, and then two for the offers from their internet-enabled phone. Customers can check their usage by dialing *131# on their mobile phone.
