The low-cost Nokia Asha 503 has arrived in South Africa, featuring Nokia’s Fastlane feature to provide a fast way to access content on the device.
The phone is available for ZAR999 (US$95) at retailers.
“Easily accessible by swiping left or right on your start screen Fastlane allows users access to the camera, one touch captures the image and another touch shares directly to Twitter, Facebook or other social networks,” Nokia said in a statement.
The smartphone’s arrival coincides with an Asha and Series 40 software update. The update brings access to the OneDrive cloud to the phone, providing users with seven gigabytes of free storage as well as unlimited streaming of music on Nokia MixRadio.
HumanIPO reported last week the release of the Nokia Lumia 1320 in South Africa, released just months after the Lumia 1520 and a range of Asha models.
