Google has created a Google Doodle for its Kenyan homepage as citizens across the country vote today.
The build up to election day has been relatively peaceful despite a controversial and allegedly staged video by CNN which appeared to show people in the East African country arming themselves for war.

Google has been involved in encouraging peaceful elections in Kenya with the development of the Elections hub and launch of a YouTube channel.
The search giant has also been involved in helping student developers from Kenya to create tools to engage with elections data and information.
Today also marks the first time that Kenyans vote under a new constitution.
