Zimbabwean mobile operator Telecel has launched video calling facilities for prepaid customers in the country.
The service, which can be used between video call-enabled mobile phones on the Telecel network, allows customers to have face-to-face conversations on their smartphones.
“The introduction of the video calling service is centered on our objective of providing an ever wider range of products and services for different segments of our clientele, said Telecel communications and branding director Obert Mandimika.
“All that is required to make a video call is a compatible device with the video calling functionality as well as a 3G connection.”
Should the video call fail, subscribers will be given the choice of making a voice call.
