The eLearning Africa conference has kicked off in Kampala, Uganda, bringing together 1,500 participants and 300 speakers from the continent and the rest of the world to explore the latest innovations and ideas that are “opening frontiers to the future”.
Among the keynote speakers are founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of AppsTech Rebecca Enonchong, Dr Bitange Ndemo, Ugandan minister of ICT John Nasasire, minister of state for information and communications technology George William Nyombi Thembo, and minister of state for higher education Kamanda Bataringaya.
The plenary debate which rounds off the conference, at which audience and speakers come together to add their voice to world discussion, will take place under the motion: “This house believes that there is now nothing more important to education than access to the internet”.
The conference, which is in its 9th edition, will run until May 30.
