Kenyan real estate platform Anza.co.ke has launched an iPhone app to cater for high levels of iOS access to its website, in a bid to facilitate real estate searches across all platforms.
Chief executive officer (CEO) of Kontent Ltd – developers of the Anza platform – Jesse de Blois told HumanIPO Anza measured 21 per cent of all mobile visitors to the web platform were accessing via iOS devices, prompting the launch of the app.
“We believe in adding value to our platform by making our property listings available across all devices and operating systems. Since more than 21 per cent of mobile visits to our web platform is through iOS devices, the iPhone app was the next step in this direction,” de Blois said.
HumanIPO reported in November Anza unveiled an Android app, enabling easy mobile access to the platform, which allows agents and owners to list available properties, and buyers or tenants to search listings.
With the Android app proving popular, the developers intend to ensure Anza is available on all platforms.
“Our Android app was received well and has reached almost 1,000 installs over the last few months. We expect this number to grow significantly as we roll out a number of planned marketing efforts in the coming months,” de Blois said.
“We will continue to work on making our 2,900+ listings available on more operating systems and devices with a primary focus on Windows Phone. Other methods such as SMS based apps are being explored as well.”
Anza is also working on a new mobile product aimed specifically at property agents and developers, which allows all information an individual posts on Anza to be accessible on their mobile device even without internet connectivity.
“As well as developing apps geared towards the property seeker, we are currently also testing a new cross-platform HTML5 based application for property agents and developers that allows them to showcase all their virtual tours hosted on Anza on their mobile device to clients wherever they are, even without an internet connection,” de Blois said.
“Through this app, we hope to provide real estate professionals with a new & unique tool to help market their properties in an easier way.”
The new iOS app can be downloaded for free via the iTunes store.
