All things mobile money, banking and payments in Africa will be showcased for three days in Johannesburg from Monday.
HumanIPO will be reporting live from Cards and Payments Africa 2013, held at the Sandton Convention Centre, which features the conferences Mobile Money World, Retail World Africa and Future Bank Africa and finishes on Wednesday.
Day one will feature talks by Alon Stransky, head of Africa Card at Nedbank, Roshaan Kulpoo, of Mauritius Commercial Bank, and a discussion panel on how to “tighten up” ATM card security.
Day two will include a talk on safe payment methods by Francois Molife, managing director of Kingdom Bank Zimbabwe, and a panel on how to exploit new payment technologies.
Day three will begin with a look back on the past 12 months of mobile payments by Duncan Arthur, mobile banking expert in African markets, and will finish with a discussion on regulation of the industry is heading and a question and answer session.
