Amazon has announced it will be unveiling a new device on June 18 in Seattle, with reports suggesting it could be a 3D smartphone pitching the company as a competitor in a market currently dominated by Apple and Google.
“Join Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos for our launch event. June 18, Seattle,” the company posted on Twitter.
It also released a one-minute video on YouTube with a teaser suggesting an off-screen device some Amazon customers were left in awe of.
One of the women said: “It moved with me!”, while another said: “I don’t think I’ve seen anything like that!”
According to Fortune.com, the main feature could be glasses-free 3D display.
“The screen changes perspective based on how the user is looking at it,” it said.
