Surfline Communications has launched 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology in Ghana, which it said offers Ghanaians affordable, swift and reliable internet connectivity.
Speaking at the launch, Surfline chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Yaw Akoto said websites are loaded faster via 4G, which also enables easier sharing, sending and receiving of large documents.
“You can also download music and movies quickly; it allows one to watch videos online, and use Skype and video conferencing facilities uninterrupted,” he said.
Akoto said the company has been working tirelessly on providing wireless broadband connectivity in Ghana.
“We will use modern technologies to improve Ghana’s business operations,” he said, adding the technology would first be deployed in Accra and Tema before being extended to other parts of the country.
“The current deployment is the largest LTE placement in the sub-region,” he said.
