Intel is hosting this year’s Code for Good hackathon on Friday, June 13 at the Nairobi Startup Garage, bringing together coders and people who love solving problems through software.
The event will run from 7am until 7pm, with coders urged to register in groups of four and each team working together to create an Android or HTML5 application that tackles a predefined challenge faced by various NGOs.
“Do you love to code? Are you interested in solving social problems through software? Do you love to work in teams? Would you love to train, inspire and help out young coders? Would you love to show of your coding skills? Then the Intel Code for Good hackathon is an event that you should not miss,” reads part of the invite.
Prizes to be won include laptops, phones and Intel software, which will be awarded to each individual member of the winning team, as well as Intel goodies and merchandise.
