Kenya Airways has introduced a new inflight television service named KQ TV that will allow passengers to watch live news and sports channels while onboard.
Apart from setting the carrier apart from its competitors, the move is also targeted at revamping Kenya Airways’ inflight entertainment experience.
The airline decided on the broadcast service after taking its cue from the newly acquired B777-300 and B787 fleets.
“With the ongoing introduction of new and modern fleet of aircraft, we aim to complement the experience with an inflight entertainment service that will give our passengers an innovative new way to enjoy live entertainment content while on board,” said Kenya Airways Group managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Titus Naikuni.
