MTN has launched its KALAST promotion in South Sudan, allowing subscribers to make free phone calls all week.
To register for the promo and participate, subscribers must dial *100*3#. Subscribers may choose to renew their registration every seven days in line with the terms and conditions of the offer.
MTN South Sudan chief executive officer (CEO) Philip Besimiire said the campaign is “a simple, affordable and value-adding offer, which is easy to understand and use”.
He said the network has been aggressively expanding its network coverage and capacity across South Sudan and is well on the way to being the largest and fastest 3.75G data network in the country. According to him, the network’s subscribers are benefiting from the ongoing network modernisation and capacity expansion.
HumanIPO reported last month MTN had switched on the first of 161 mobile towers to be built in South Sudan, as part of a US$76 million project aimed at bringing connectivity and related economic benefits to the new country.
