Skype has announced the release of an all-new app that runs on the Android operating system, which it said is more beautiful and full of surprises.
“The Skype Android app you know and love has just got even better. It’s looking beautiful, we’ve squeezed in some great new features,” Skype said in a newsletter sent this morning to users.
The new app reportedly has a simpler optimised chat, in addition to improved video quality, and makes multitasking easier.
“We’ve added a floating picture in picture so you can multitask while you chat,” Skype said.
Users can also share pictures and video messages instantly by clicking the ‘+’ icon.
“For those times you can’t jump on a video call, we’ve now introduced voice calls,” it said.
