ConnectNigeria.com has announced its second annual e-business fair, tagged “e-business and the Growth of Your Enterprise Part II”, will take place on Saturday, October 18th 2014 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.
Organisers said the goal of the fair is for SMEs to come and learn about how to grow their business using technology as well as to build stronger business network.
Organisers said: “Last year the annual business fair recorded over 2,000 visitors at the Orchid Hall, Expo Center, Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday October 26th, 2013. It was aimed at connecting small business owners with service providers such as banks and ICT firms to discuss how to build and harness modern electronic technologies with their business operations.”
The keynote address for the first edition was delivered by the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and was attended by representatives from Microsoft, Diamond Bank Plc, Google Nigeria, Etranzact, and Pro Works. Issues discussed included use of electronic systems in business transaction, money transfer, and internet connectivity.
For this year’s edition, organisers said the goal is to make it the biggest SME event in Africa.
