Demo Africa Boom Camp is underway in Lagos Nigeria for startups that will be pitching at DEMO Africa conference.
Luis Amat, chief operating office (COO), Venture Hive and a trainer at the camp said, “We are really excited to be part of the Demo Africa cohort for the third year in a row. The most important part in all this is the networking because you never know who’s going to introduce you to the right partners.”
Thomas Debass, Managing Director, the Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships, U.S. Department of State said, “From the State Department perspective, implementing BoomCamp made perfect sense as it helps us fulfill our global goals around support for entrepreneurship, and it does so by harnessing the passion and energies of proven mentors who are willing to volunteer their time and services to entrepreneurs who can really benefit from their expertise. The BoomCamp is not only a flexible model to accommodate specific needs, but it’s designed to provide effective mentorship in a manner that is both cost-effective and efficient, through use of both in-person and online mentoring.”
