Truecaller, an app that helps people take the right call, is announcing a move by the company to use its expertise to replace smartphones’ standard bare-bones dialing interfaces with their new app, Truedialer which brings a smarter and more intelligent experience that goes beyond a phone’s standard dialer.
The global launch took place today on Google Play and now Truecaller’s 85million users who trust the app’s service to provide them with the contact information they need and protect them from unwanted calls can now have a more enhanced experience.
Unlike a standard dial pad, Truedialer gives instant access to relevant information about contacts that users are trying to dial. If users are dialing a number for an individual or business outside of their phonebook, they’ll be able to see the name, and even a profile photo of whom they’re about to dial before they place the call. The integration of the Truecaller technology works in conjunction with Truedialer so users can have the best experience when they make or receive calls.
With Truedialer, you can automatically search for information about a number you are dialing. As you type in a number, Truedialer seamlessly searches your own contact list and Truecaller’s database of over a billion numbers. You can instantlylearn the name of an individual or business belonging to a number you dial, even if they’re not in your contact list.
Additionally, you can automatically fill in missing contact information in your call log with information from Truecaller’s database. Truedialer takes out the guesswork of trying to remember which name is behind which unassigned number in the call log;it’s perfect for those making lots of calls to acquaintances and professional contacts.
You can protect yourself from spam and scams. If the number you’re about to dial has been reported by Truecaller’s community as an unwanted number, you’ll be warned before placing the call not to mention the fact that you can also quickly dial your favorite contacts with T9 search (predictive text)
“Until now, phone dial pads have not truly improved since the feature phone days. With the same infrastructure that powers Truecaller, our ambition with Truedialer is to replace the phone’s phonebook app, and be invaluable to users, just as Truecaller has changed the way people receive calls and find contact information,” said Nami Zarringhalam, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Truecaller.“Truedialer’s launch is a major milestone for the company from being focused on a single app. Users can expect Truedialer and Truecaller to complement each other to form the perfect phonebook experience.”
Truedialeris available for free on Android, and a version of the app is also available on Windows Phone. You can also download the free Truecaller app on popular platforms including Android,iOS, Windows Phone,BlackBerryand Nokiafeature phones.
