Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt has denied rumours he is considering leaving the company, saying the speculation is “completely false”.
Speaking to reporters in India, Schmidt laid to rest claims that he was set to walk away from the search giant.
“Google is my home,” he said, as reported by Reuters.
Schmidt also said Android and Chrome are to remain separate, despite changes to Android’s leadership. Sundar Pichai was last week announced as the replacement for Andy Rubin, with speculation the company was to merge the internet and mobile divisions.
But Schmidt said there would be no combination of Android and Chrome, however there may be more overlap between the operating systems.
