The agenda for the ninth annual East Africa Com in May has been released, featuring mobile money and digital transformation as the themes for 2013.
The Kenya-based conference will take place from May 21 to 22 at the Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi.
More than 600 attendees are confirmed at present, of which 57 per cent are operators.
According to the organisers, the confirmed programme “reflects the dynamism of this market” with leading region-based representatives from the telecoms, media and ICT industries.
Keynote speakers include Joseph Mucheru, Sub-Saharan Africa ambassador and country manager at Kenya, Google, Jose Henriques, vice president of Data and Online at Airtel Africa, and Ken Munyi, chief executive officer AfricaOnline.
Fyyaz Kasmani, chief technical officer at Netconnexions said: “It’s like the Facebook of telecoms industry.”
He added: “Definitely the place to be if you are in Telecoms. The event is very well organised and it is the place to be where you can meet one to one with key players and decision makers.”
