IMImobile, a global mobile data technology infrastructure and solutions provider, last night won the Multimedia Content Management Solution of the Year award at the Cloud Africa Awards hosted in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The IMImobile product and service portfolio is built on a core modular service platform called the DaVinci Evolved Service Platform hosted in the cloud. The platform provides the foundation to enabling a mobile marketplace and Open Mobile Market.
IMImobile CEO Vishawanath Alluri said they felt honored to be recognized and that the company would work hard to deliver outstanding services.
IMImobile’s DaVinci Content Management System (CMS) powers MTN’s mobile content service, ‘MTN Play,’ in 19 countries across Africa and the Middle East.
The company offers ‘MTN Play’ subscribers full track music, mobile entertainment such as videos and games, infotainment, premium content sourcing as well as subscription services.
IMImobile said in astatement that it has helped MTN to deliver personalized and localized content to more than its 130 million of its 164.5 million subscribers.
The company works with over 100 companies globally and reaches over 900 million people in more than 60 countries.
The cloud Africa Awards recognize exceptional services and initiatives in the African cloud services industry. The awards accredit deployments that have defied challenges in the African markets and have shown exceptional innovation and offering.
The winners were announced at the inaugural Cloud Africa conference and exhibition organised by the Com World Series.
