The conference formerly known as West and Central Africa Com has been rebranded as Connecting West Africa in its tenth year and will be held in Dakar, Senegal.
At 2012’s event, 420 people attended from 150 companies and 35 countries. The Com World Series organisers said 55 per cent of those attending were at C-level, director and head delegate level.
The conference is being held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar, on June 11 and 12. The organisers said: “Over two days, the conference will address the major concerns in the region and help key stakeholders plan for the future.”
Among the big names already confirmed are Asif Aziz, group marketing director of Expresso Telecom, Adefemi Ojo, head of network operations at Starcomms, Nigeria, and Harbir Singh Nat, principle investment officer at TMT, Sub-Saharan Africa, IFC.
