Contract subscribers on South African mobile network Cell C can now purchase 1GB of data for ZAR69 (US$7.70) per month.
A 500MB data bundle will set customers back ZAR39 (US$4.35), while top end customers can buy 10GB for ZAR499 a month and 20GB for ZAR999 per month.
Alan Knott-Craig Sr, chief executive officer (CEO) of Cell C, said: “With these new rates, we are telling our customers that Cell C is willing to compete to provide the best offerings on the market.”
Once users have spent their entire bundle they will be charged at a flat rate of 15c per MB.
