Learning software being developed in Ghana

A Liberian student in Ghana is developing software to enable students to easily carry out research on the internet, supported by Google.

The software is expected to change the way students do their research and help them in their examinations. The unveiling is expected in Liberia in June or July, though details are still unclear on the exact performance of the software.

Developer Siakor Kpetermeni is one of three Liberian students studying at Ashesi University College, which has obtained a US$13 million loan from MasterCard to assist African students in their studies for a period of 10 years.

Google has partnered with major campuses in Africa to offer assistance to budding developers.

Under the umbrella of the Google Africa University programme, the company has enabled hundreds of students in Africa to develop their skills by partnering with web giant.
