Ten Cape Town-based startups will present to investors today in a bid to secure follow-on funding and increase the chances of their business ideas becoming a recognised brand or product.
The startups have all completed the 12-week 88mph accelerator programme after securing funding and a place on the programme at the start of February. Taxi calling service Zapacab joined the programme shortly after.
The event is being streamed live on the 88mph website and Network Radio is presenting a live show from 3pm to 6.30pm.
Among the startups pitching for investment today are payment solutions specialists Peach Payments, tradesman platform Near A Builder and electricity monitoring company Homebug.
Sibling trio The Massive are also pitching, as well as video streaming service Wabona, Apex Peak, ShopDeploy, Adrenaline Hunter and Easy2Map’s #mydoorhandle.
