South Africa’s new online fashion website Zando launched in February is now giving fashion lovers in the south African state an entirely new shopping experience.
Zando, through its website Zando.co.za, not only offers free delivery within the country’s major cities for each item shopped. The online superstore also looks out for customers to try on the newly bought fashion items with a return guarantee — if they are not satisfied with the purchase free of charge.
The site also provides a social networking platform allowing clients to share their purchases or tips with friends on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Zando’s managing director and co-founder Eugen Petersen said the firm wants its customers to experience the convenience of online shopping, combined with great style tips from our fashion editors.
“If our customers were in a physical store to purchase pairs of shoes, they would try them on. We offer the same thing in the convenience of your home.” he said.
Zando’s product catalogue offers a variety of brands to browse through according to price, colour and size. If the customer needs help in any way, he can always chat directly with the online customer support at Zando.
In addition, the site allows its clients to pay by [either] credit or debit card, EFT or cash on delivery. The payments are processed through a safe Internet SSL encryption to eliminate fraud.
Petersen added that Zando wants to change the perception of many South Africans that online shopping is only for the few.
He commented: “Many South African’s still believe that a great sense of fashion is just for people in the major cities and those with credit cards. Zando wants to change this perception by being available throughout the country and offering customers a range of payment options.”
Zando claims shopping on their site is more convenient than overseas websites as customers experience no delays in transactions. In addition, the site has no import taxes or hidden charges.
