Subscribers of Kenya’s leading network operator YuMobile will now get health tips through their mobile phone following a partnership between the firm and healthy living website, PurpleTeal
Users will get health tips once they subscribe to the service on short code 362. On subscription, users can access information on losing weight, healthy diet and tips on how to stop drug addiction.
Speaking at the launch, yuMobile Country Manager, Madhur Taneja said: “There is an obvious increased interest in lifestyle TV programmes and magazines and we are offering our subscribers a more flexible and personalized medium to access this information. It also brings a new perspective on the nascent lifestyle information services available in Kenya.
Narayanan Ram, CEO of PurpleTeal, was upbeat about the new partnership saying he looked forward to helping the site’s subscribers change their lifestyles.
Purple Teal is a renowned US-based site that gives information on healthy living and weight matters.
