Nokia unveils Lumia 925

Nokia has launched the Nokia Lumia 925 as it seeks to recapture its mobile market share, which fell to 14.8 per cent from 19.7 per cent in the first quarter of 2013.

The device operates on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 software and has new camera-focused software features including Big 4.51 AMOLED, 1280×768 resolution touchscreen, dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and 8.7 megapixel camera.

In the United States, the device will be available on T-Mobile, while in Europe subscribers will pay 469 euros for the device on Vodafone. In China, China Mobile and China Unicom are the official service providers.

The phone is made entirely of metal, unlike the Lumia 928 which was made of a shiny white polycarbonate or plastic. The new device also weighs less. At 139 grammes, it is Nokia’s lightest product. It however lacks the wireless charging feature of the 928.
