Kenyan Sharp distributor Polestar has unveiled the Aquos LED television set, now available in the country for KSh2.3 million (US$27380), as Sharp looks to grow its market share in the country.
The television set, which measures two metres in width and 1.2 metres in height, weighs 64 kilogrammes.
Sharp’s director of consumer electronics for Middle East and Africa Tagami Yasuharu said the company hopes to acquire a bigger share of the Kenyan market this year.
“We are truly delighted to offer our consumers in Kenya the much anticipated Aquos LED television. With a very strong appetite amongst Kenyan consumers for modern technology, our focus is on nurturing this demand and growing the market share in this market,” he said.
“With thousands of Sharp televisions already sold across the region we believe the new 90 inch Aquos LED TV completes our product offering in Kenya, now ranging from 60 inch to 90 inch,” said Polestar country manager Rakesh Singh.
