GOtv set to go live in Lagos

Digital terrestrial television service provider Details Nigeria has said that GOtv, a TV service on the Digital Video Broadcast technology, will go live in Lagos Nigeria by the end of this week.

Gotv is a pay television service on the Digital Video Broadcast technology, and utilizes the latest DVB-T2 standard technology to offer digital services, thereby providing Nigerians with the latest digital technology available worldwide.

In a statement, Digital Terrestrial said it offers subscribers the most advanced technology and broadcast system in Africa and the rest of the world to date, and is currently “the only digital television pay service on DVB-T2 technology in Nigeria.”

Two bouquets will be offered and subscribers will be able to enjoy a wide selection of local and international channels including 33 channels for GOtv plus and 22 channels for GOtv at an affordable price.

Subscribers will also be able to access news, children’s programming, documentaries, series and movies.

The digital television will guarantee the viewers improved pictures and sound quality.

No satellite dish and installation cost would be required except for a GOtv decoder and a stub or grid antenna.

GOtv has already been inaugurated in Ibadan and Port Harcourt, and would soon be unveiled in other cities of Nigeria.
