Chitbox, a multifunctional e-commerce platform and point of sale (PoS) solution, has been introduced into the Nigerian commerce sector, seeking to enable businesses to reach millions of customers quickly.
At the Lagos product unveiling Michael Agbogo, Chitbox managing director, described Chitbox as an infrastructure that would revolutionise how most Nigerian businesses operate.
Agbogo said: “It is a device that will be used to deliver service through the ChitHub platform to organisations in Nigeria.”
Services on the platform include online shop, auctions, reservations, events, airtime vending and C-logistics.
He added: “Chithub actually brings events, hotels, shopping malls, retail stores and a wide variety of products to your fingertips. Right from the comfort of your home or office, while using a computer or a mobile device, you can load airtime on your phone, shop for groceries, clothes, electronics and the list goes on.”
Agbogo said the innovation makes several processes and transactions easier. They include purchasing intra-state travel bus tickets including airline tickets, satellite TV subscriptions, utility bills payment and cinema tickets.
He described Chitbox as a provider of point of sale (POS) solutions that eases convenience.
According to him, it also guarantees customer security and opens new opportunities that results to business growth and increased sales.
“With Chitbox, you can start your own business with little capital, expand your sales reach by selling more services, reduced risk of fraud and theft due to audit trails and security logs within the system, provide convenience and security for customers [and] provide 24/7 customer service support,” he added.
