Samsung unveils Intel-powered Galaxy Tab 3 tablets

Samsung today announced its 8-inch and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3, powered by Intel, which will officially be available for sale all over the world in June.

The two are widely seen as complementing the already existing 7-inch device.

HumanIPO reported earlier today Samsung had settled on Intel Corp processors for its next series of top-tier Android tablets.

Among the notable features of the 8-inch Galaxy Tab are a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, WXGA TFT 1280 x 800 (189 PPI) display, 1.5GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, a 4,450 mAh battery, and 16 or 32GB of internal storage.

The 10.1-inch model on the other hand features 1.6 GHz Intel dual-core processor, a 1280 x 800 (149 PPI) WXGA TFT display, 1GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of internal storage, and a 6,800 mAh battery as some of its notable features.

In addition to offering an expanded range of options for their clients, the Samsung Tab 3 series also lets customers view, listen, create and share meaningful events as well as special content with their loved ones.

“Whether surfing the web at home or reading during the commute, each device is packed with enhanced content and intuitive design perfect for viewing or sharing content with friends and family, and capturing all of life’s spontaneous moments,” read part of the announcement on their website.

The announcement did not however touch on the pricing of both devices.
