Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria launches Breeze mobile banking app

Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria (SCBN) has launched a mobile banking app, called Breeze, in Lagos, in a bid to improve its customers’ banking experience.

With Breeze, SCBN said it now has a virtual branch that offers its customers banking experience that is convenient, personalised and superior.

Bola Adesola, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), said Breeze had been launched as in other countries where the bank is operating as part of its global focus on digitising and socialising personal banking.

Those countries are India, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, China, Dubai and Pakistan.

She said: “Today’s consumers are tech-savvy and mobile. They want banking that not only meets their financial needs, but also anticipates them. We believe that technology has to be useful, intuitive and most importantly seamless.

“We believe that digitalisation goes beyond online and mobile banking services; we continue to transform our business and invest for long-term growth, with a focus on digital technologies that we believe will shape the future of banking.”
