MTN South Africa has appointed its chief technical officer Lambo Kanagaratnam to head up its enterprise business division, with Eben Albertyn leaving Airtel Africa to replace him.
Kanagaratnam replaces Zunaid Bulbulia, who has been acting in the post since July 2012 but has now replaced Karel Pienaar as MTN South Africa’s chief executive officer (CEO).
The new chief technical officer has been with MTN for almost 14 years, having previously worked for Eskom. he became general manager (GM) for network planning in 2006 and later served as chief technology officer of MTN Irancell.
Albertyn formerly served as chief technology officer for MTN in Cameroon and Ghana.
