Kenya’s Social Media Day was celebrated in Nairobi on Friday with bloggers, media experts and entrepreneurs joining together to discuss how it can impact business development and contribute to the country.
The day is usually celebrated on June 30, but with it being a Sunday it was moved forward to Friday, June 28.
Participants included Niaje, the Bloggers Association of Kenya, the Nairobi Incubation Lab (Nailab) and TrINC Media.
Sam Gicheru, co-founder of Nailab, said social media has really grown in terms of business border expansion, while it is also expected further social media outreach programmes will be rolled out to universities and institutions.
