LG, one of the top electronic manufacturing leaders in the world, has announced its voice assistant app, Quick Voice.
This announcement puts the new app in competition with its predecessors, Apple’s Siri and Samsung’s S-Voice.
“Quick Voice service, using the smartphone features voice calls, text, contacts, alarms, and calendar, including 11 other applications can be run. Others are voice maps, weather, stocks, including web search,” the company said.
Siri made its official debut when Apple released the iPhone 4S last year. This was the first ever voice assistant app made available for a mobile gadget. South Korean app also debuted their S-Voice on the Galaxy SIII.
LG Electronics Vice President of marketing for South Korea said that through Quick Voice feature the company will provide a better user experience as part of intense efforts.
The app will be currently available on the LG Vu and LTE II brands. It is expected that the later Optimus range will have the app installed.
It is not certain when they will release the app, but now it is only available in Korea.
