Entrepreneurship research project by GSMA and iHub Research

iHub Research and the Global System for Mobile Association (GSMA) are inviting Kenyan mobile and ICT innovators to take part in an entrepreneurship research project.

The project will focus on areas to improve growth in mobile and tech startups and ways to create better engagement in various sectors including mobile network operators, investors and tech incubators.

It also aims to understand the obstacles preventing Kenyan entrepreneurs from developing and scaling their businesses.

A statement on the iHub website said: “We would therefore like to invite entrepreneurs who meet the criteria of working on scalable mobile and/or ICT innovations to participate in a short interview by registering their ventures on this link.”

Apart from entrepreneurs in Nairobi and those based in the hubs, the research will also focus on entrepreneurs in locations such as Kisumu, Eldoret and Mombasa.

Entrepreneurs selected for the interviews and focus group discussions will also have an opportunity to be listed on GSMA’s MDI (Mobile for Development Intelligence) portal, which is accessed by thousands of visitors worldwide every month.

The GSMA is an association of mobile operators and related companies devoted to supporting the standardising, deployment and promotion of the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) mobile telephone system. The GSM Association was formed in 1995.
