Airtel Zambia has partnered with Multichoice Zambia to enable its subscribers pay for their monthly DSTV subscriptions from the comfort of their phones via Airtel Money.
“Once the account is activated, payment can be made to DSTV in real time, and most importantly, this service is free. You can save time and money for your bill payments on Airtel money,” said Joseph Kafwariman, Airtel Customer Service Director.
Multichoice Zambia managing director Mr Simon Bota said: “We at Multichoice are yet again excited to add another payment platform to the existing platforms which are currently available to our existing subscribers.
Today’s partnership with Airtel shows our desire to continually make available as many payment platforms to our subscribers such as this one we are announcing today. The partnership is testimony that we want to continuously improve the customer service experience where payment of monthly subscription is concerned.”
The service is aimed at bridging the financial and technological divide.
Airtel money was launched in Zambia less than eight months ago, and has already registered over 220,000 customers, enjoying different services made easy with the help of 4000 Airtel Money agents .
The services on Airtel money include ash deposits and cash withdrawals, money transfers, banking services, bill payments, buying goods and services.
