Samsung Introduces the Galaxy Mega smartphone in Kenya

Samsung Electronics East Africa has unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphone in Kenya, a device the company tout as being the combination of a smartphone and a tablet.

The device has a 5.8inch HD screen and includes features such as Group Play, Samsung Link, ‘S Translator and ChatON.

“For smartphone enthusiasts who want a premium viewing experience coupled with multi- tasking capability, the Samsung Galaxy Mega Smartphone is ideal,” said Robert Ngeru, Samsung Electronics East Africa chief operating officer (COO).

“You will be able to create and edit documents and photos, play games, surf the web and social networking sites, stream videos and movies online, all on a 5.8 inch screen that also allows you to run two different apps alongside each other.”

In its strategic plans to drive user experience of the Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphone, the company has also signed an endorsement deal with Kenya’s top try scorer in Kenya Rugby Sevens, Collins Injera.

“Collins is well known for his achievements with the Kenya National Rugby Sevens team. His eye for the line, electric pace and clinical finishing ability on the field has seen him deliver a mega performance,” added Ngeru.
