LG Electronics will brand its next flagship smartphone as the “G2″, the first device to be released under the “G” brand.
LG said in a statement all future smartphones will carry the “G” series name while the devices that have already been introduced will continue to carry their current branding.
“Our vision is to make LG’s newest G devices synonymous with excellence, raising the bar even further for the ultimate in user experience. The new G2 will build upon the excellent reputation by previous G series products,” said Jong-seok Park, chief executive officer (CEO) and president of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
LG’s premium 4:3 display smartphones will reportedly be rebranded as “Vu”. Furthermore, LG’s smartphones are equipped with “next generation core technologies”.
