Kaspersky Lab (KL) has announced it will unveil a music site under the brand name Kaspersky Music. The company will work with Universal Music Group (UMG) to ensure music lovers from across the globe enjoy the new service.
The customers will receive free access to the website set to be in English and Arabic. The new site will have a wide variety of music ranging from International, Arabic, Islamic and poetry.
Users can download the music for free, says Kaspersky Lab.
Kaspersky Lab’s Tarek Kuzbari said the company would offer its customers unique and safe music browsing experience in the Middle East region.
“Kaspersky Music is one of the services that we will be providing to our current and potential customers who will benefit from download of different kinds of music tracks,” he said.
Users of the site will participate in raffles and competitions to win concert tickets, CDs and other merchandise from Universal Music.
UMG’s managing director Patrick Boulos said they will be feeding the Kaspersky Music service with the latest top chart hits, international news and music, and great universal artists’ merchandise products to offer customers an exclusive, first of its kind, musical experience.
Kaspersky Lab is known for its Internet security applications including the Kaspersky antivirus while UMG is a multinational music company owned by media conglomerate Vivendi with headquarters in Santa Monica, California, United States.
UMG owns a music publisher, Universal Music Publishing Group. In 2007, it became the world’s largest music company after acquiring BMG Music Publishing.
